Driving Test

Question

I have been living in Belgium for past 3 years, never felt the use of car. Now with a 1 year old son, I feel car(Opting for Company Car) gives you bit more mobility especially in winters.

So background done with theory and failed thrice in practical. I have done 10 hours of driving with registered school.

The first time I did make mistakes, the second one was pedestrian miss, but for the most recent one, I found the examiner was just rude

Anyhow the reason he failed(Latest Test) me was -
1 - Driving too much on right - He thought he felt scared, that at one point I could have hit the side mirrors .
2 - On round about didn't respect the dotted line . should have done the roundabout on right. But still dont see a reason for this.
3 - While making left, didn't give priority to vehicle coming from right, though the vehicle was > 100 mts away.

Rest he was satisfied with other things like maneuvers( No issues), blind spots, pedestrians, priority roads..etc..etc...

Anyhow I am p*ssed with this and was thinking of doing it in Asse. Lot of my colleagues( Belge Nationals) are of the view that Brussels exam centers are quite demanding and strict and there's high chance of making it in Asse.

So just wanted to have your opinion on if going to Asse will really help or shall I go ahead with brussels and take more tests and finally it should be OK.

Your opinion is highly appreciated.

Who told you that 10 hours of lessons was enough to equip you with the skills to handle a powerful machine capable of killing people?

Belgium has some of the worst skilled drivers I have ever come across, yet you manage to fail 3 times and you feel pissed about it? Considering you are thinking of putting your child in the car with you don't you think you should thank the examiner for being so thorough and making sure you are safe behind the wheel?

Safety should be your priority not how quickly/easily you can pass your test. Finding a quicker route and a softer examiner really isn't the way to go!

All of those 3 examples are good reasons for a failure. Take some more lessons with someone that is responsible enough to tell you to take a test when you are ready.

To be honest, the examiner says, your driving is good but not theoretical good to clear the exam. Of course I understand, he is doing his job and all the rights to refuse or pass candidate. And I did fail because of the panic some worst driver gave me while I was giving the test! Overtaking on roundabout and from right( two separate instances). What I am asking is if small town, less traffic and less complex network of road will help. Anyhow I have exam tomorrow and I hope will do it right this time!

Try another 20 hours of lessons.

- the second one was pedestrian miss !!!
- didn't respect the dotted line - still don't see a reason for this
- didn't give priority to vehicle coming from right

I for one, am thankful that they failed you. There are far too many bad drivers on the road already, and someone who doesn't "see a reason" for the need to respect markings on the road, or who has a near miss with pedestrians should be kept off the road until they are able to drive properly.

You want to drive around as it will help you get around with your own child. Please, please, please, take a lot more lessons, and learn to respect the car and the road you're driving on, otherwise you will end up killing someone else's child.

Anyone who wants to drive has to get a driving licence after clearing few tests. Thus, it will be necessary to practice your driving test online, as it will help you to qualify as a licensed driver.
