Telenet to move headquarters to Brussels

Belgian telecommunications company Telenet will move its official headquarters from Mechelen (pictured) to Brussels as the result of the company's recent acquisition of mobile operator BASE, write various Belgian media.

Telenet's strategic decisions will from now on be made from Brussels, at the current BASE headquarters in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. "We are a national player and therefore cannot continue to make decisions from Mechelen," the company announced.

The board of directors and other members of the management team will commute between the two locations for the time being, while the rest of the staff will stay in Mechelen until further notice.
