Bertem house hunting
Hello,
We are house hunting and both my husband and myself work in Brussels. This week we went to see a house in Bertem, and although we love the area and the house, we find that Bertem is not well connected to Brussels. It's only 18 kms, but the journey by public transport is more than an hour.
Any ideas of whether Bertem is a good location to buy a property?

IF you're going to use public transport to get in to Brussels, well you can get from Liege to Brussels by train as quick as you can get from Bertem to Brussels by bus! Loolk along the train lines for quicker links to Brussels, or some STIB trams go outside of Brussels or right to the edges. It depends entirely where in Brussels you are working as to which way to look outside the region for housing. Use the STIB map to look for quicker transportation.
