I've been to Forest many times and typically always find parking somewhere. You may have to walk a bit. One option is to go relatively early then fill in the time before the concert grabbing a bite to eat at one of the burger / pizza places there.
For public transport, it really depends on where you're coming from. But there is transport, tram, bus and the railway station is also nearby.
