Tea

Question

Where can I buy mint or spearmint tea leaves? (Vs prepackaged tea bags?)

I need to make herbal tea for 200 persons!

A shop preferably in overijse/wavre region.

Färm carries fresh mint as do other health food stores, most open air markets and any North African food stores. I get mine at the open air market on Thursdays in Molenbeek: 25 cents a bunch. Or many supermarkets. With the sizable North African and Middle-Eastern population in Brussels, fresh mint is really easy to find.

A recipe for mint tea from fresh mint:

There isn’t really a recipe for mint tea, but rather a method. Wash and tear up the fresh mint leaves. (Spearmint, peppermint, chocolate mint; the variety doesn’t matter.) Put them in a French press or teapot and pour some boiling water over them. Allow to steep for about 3-7 minutes, depending on how strong you want your tea. Feel free to add a bit of honey or even a splash of whole milk if you want.
Enjoy. (https://fearlessfresh.com/how-to-make-mint-tea/)

I'm not sure it's in season being winter and all that. but I'd try the midid market. Otherwise the mint tea bags delhaize sell are perfectly acceptable. Or maybe buy a few mint plants from delhaize if they have any it goes pretty fat so you wouldn't need that many

CC_R: 1) I just published the recipe, I didn't write it. 2) But that said, as they say "Les goûts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas"
3) Winter or no Winter, the open air markets are still selling plenty of fresh mint, I bought some this past Thursday.
