Cost of iPhone battery
Hi all the old iPhone 5c or is it 5s died suddenly today and battery percentage is swinging up and down all the time. I did get it to reboot and the battery power was 23% so don't know why it died. I have been trying to see if I can find a cost from Apple online to replace it but I can't I'd rather use apple if possible although probably well out of warranty.
So if it does need replaced where can I go and what cost and how long will they need my phone? I would get a new one but the other half isn't happy at that idea
You can buy a replacement battery on amazon for £13.99 (roughly €15-€16)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/iPhone-Battery-Replacement-including-screwdrive...
You can get a replacement battery for €18.99 including free next day delivery from Replacedirect.

But iPhones can be tricky to work with and if I were you I'd get someone to do it. (They would charge about €50 for a guaranteed job including pickup and return).
While you're arranging the repair keep it warm, I have the exact with my 4S.
Will die around 20 to 30% when kept it in an external pocket. Once warmed up a bit can switch it back on again showing about a quarter battery left.
Yet to change the battery....
If you do decide to go ahead on your own, can I recommend

?
I've successfully done repairs on iPhones and Macs (including replacing a broken computer screen) and it's not as daunting as it might seem, but I guess it depends on your level of confidence with these things. Also buy the pentalobe screwdrivers and don't try to do it with ordinary ones.
