Kitchen-ikea experiences

Question

Hi
Considering a new kitchen from ikea (abstrakt, glossy surface). Have anyone got experiences of durability of this and generally on delivery times, fitting times/quality/cost by ikea fitters and any other points that may be relevant.

We have no experience of carrying out any 'handy work' so not sure it would be a good idea to fit ourselves...

Many thanks!

Nan

I waited to answer to see the other responses. We bought our kitchen three years ago. I believe it is the right quality for the price. I had hoped it would hold up a bit better, but then again I have young children- spills and trucks knocking into the cabinets occur. Our kitchen has a few knocks in the white doors which shows the mdf. I am very particular, so I doubt most people would notice. Like I said- it is probrably what is suited for the price. The benefit is that should I want to replace those two doors - I can go to Ikea and pick them up.
