Hi,

I received today a letter claiming that I pay a tax called "Taxe regionale a charge des chefs de menage". or "Taxe de Menages 2011". It is 89 eur.

Is this a new tax?

Why should I pay it? I have never had to pay this before....

WTF!!!!! Somebody explain this to me please!!!!

No, it's not new

Yes, you do have to pay it

It replaced the TV licence 7-8 years ago

Every household in the Brussels region has to pay it.
