Melania Trump visits Brussels children's hospital
US First Lady Melania Trump on Thursday paid a visit to the Queen Fabiola Children's University Hospital in the Brussels suburb of Laeken, according to VTM News. The visit lasted just under an hour.
When Melania Trump's convoy arrived at the hospital at 11.10 on Thursday morning, the first lady first took the time to sign a guestbook. “The work you do for the community is inspiring. Thanks for sharing this with me," she wrote.
Trump then met several children from the hospital's school, before sitting down with them to make paper flowers. The Belgian tricolour flowers were bundled into a bouquet for the first lady, who showed her gratitude with a hug.
The visit ended around 12.00. While Melania Trump did not make an official statement about the visit, she did share her experience on Twitter. “Thank u to Queen Fabiola University Hospital! Enjoyed creating paper flowers with amazing patients & getting a tour. #Brussels #Belgium,” she tweeted.
