Question

I applied for naturalisation in 2008 and have not received any response.

At this point, after 4 years of waiting, I called and they said my dossier is under investigation.

I am thus considering applying by declaration but I do not want to hinder my chances. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Any advice? Any recommendations for a solicitor that could look at this case?

after 2 years delay and no answer i decided to switch from naturalisation to declaration and i hope to receive a positive reply by the end of this month. i had to cancel the previous application in order to apply to the second one. still don't know if everything went well...
