Banking question transfer

Hi all,

Had anyone had experience with transferring money to the UK. I'm not the best come to banking question. I have a UK registered bank account and a Belgium account I would to know would it be a good time to transfer money over to to UK it only 2000 euro but would it better than other ways like drawing it out once I'm over there? cheaper? what's the best way to get the most pounds of course my bank is the BNP in Belgium.
