how to access unemployment benefits

Happy New Year (yeah right)

-been laid off due to restructuring (last working day end of February)

-I have been a salaried employee since 2007

-I would like to obtain the dole asap and would be grateful if anyone could describe the steps to do so (i.e. which Brussel-based institutions I'd have to contact and which documents I'd need)

Any advice, or abuse likely to make me laugh for that matter, are most welcome,
