Looking for recommendation for fuel card

Question

I'm an independent and am in the process of registering for a fuel card from Total. Reason being there seem to be many total around where I live. However, Total prices are always way over other gas stations - can anyone recommend a company that offers a similar fuel card providing VAT invoices for fuel but at a better rate? Thanks!

sn

All fuel companies offer this facility. I am with Q8. The big discounts are only for big fleets. As a one person independent the only advantage is that you have an VAT invoice at the end of the month.

I've got a Lukoil one. Mainly as there are convenient stations near home, on the way to, and near work.

As SN notes, just about all the companies offer them, just choose the one that is convenient to you. You can also get them via your bank.

My local garage gives me an invoice. I just drop off the receipts and get a vat invoice the next day.
Go for the most conveniently located garages for your card.

Thanks everyone for the tips. In the end I applied for Total and an Octa+ card. I figured I'd be using Octa+ the most thanks to having more stations and better prices but having Total would cover me for emergencies.

Getting Octa+ card was super easy. They called the next day to help set everything up and I received the card fast. They offer a good discount to card holders (almost 10c per litre) and also serve the whole of Benelux.

Total was/is a complete nightmare. They expect a signed mandate from the bank, which I did, despite bank insisting it's not necessary. I then posted to them and have since received emails saying they still need the mandate signed by the bank. Which I assume they received but then lost. It's annoying as which other company still requires signed docs from the bank?

So, to conclude Total is more expensive, a pain to setup and actually I still don't have the card even though I started the process over a month ago. Also, the discount that they offer to card holders is laughable, less than 1 cent per litre.

Maybe things are different if you are running a fleet but for an independent Octa+ wins by a far.
