keep mutuelle if abroad?

Question

Hello, I have Belgian citizenship and recently left Belgium to take a new job in Ireland, although I'm originally from outside the EU.

Before departing, I think I finished all administrative matters in Belgium with the exception of informing my mutuelle.

Is it just a matter of informing them I've left Belgium, and 'quitting' the mutuelle? Or can (or must?) a Belgian keep up affiliation with a mutuelle if living in another country?

You need documentation from them in order that you can "seamlessly" join the RoI's scheme (which is insurance company based).

As BECASSE notes above, you'l need documentation from your mutuelle to join your new health scheme in Ireland. As a first point of call, you should speak to HR at your new employer in Ireland about how / what you need to do.

Enjoy Ireland, and remember to get out of Dublin and visit the South West, the most beautiful region in Europe.
