Hello, can someone help me? Have the usual long school shopping list for a child entering into 3eme primaire. Previously have always asked for 'une trousse' (pencil case) but this year, same schol, they specifically ask for 'une cassette' (and then list items which it should contain as pens, pencil, eraser etc.) Can anyone explain to me what is difference betwen a cassette and a trousse? Thanks.

The difference betwen a cassette and a trousse is the same as the difference between a pencil box and a pencil case. Two ways of describing the same thing.
