Four-year-old boy dies in fall at Flagey apartment

A four-year-old boy has died after falling from a third-floor window at his home on Place Flagey in Ixelles.

According to the Brussels prosecutor's office, the evidence collected so far suggests it was a tragic accident.

Emergency services were called out just before 19.00 on Saturday. The boy was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

A spokesman for the prosecutor's office said: "We have appointed a forensic doctor to investigate, analysed the footage from nearby CCTV cameras and interviewed several witnesses. Our initial findings are that it was an accident.
