Corona - Postponing mortgage payments for those already unemployed?
Hi, I was made redundant in January. Although corona didn't cause a reduced income in the first place, it seems probable it will cause my income to be reduced for a longer period of time than it otherwise would be, as it will now be almost impossible to find a job in my industry in the coming months. Any ideas if I would still qualify given rule 1 of the government scheme?

No. You do not fulfill the criteria, therefore this scheme is out.
What you can do (I know someone who did it following the 2008 financial crash) is talk to your bank about going over to interest only payments for 6 months to a year. There should be an arrangement fee for this.
Decisions like this are only made on a case-by-case basis. All you can do is ask you mortgage lender.
