Trash problem
I live in an apartment Brussels (rent), with a common hall that gives access to 2 apartments. The hall is connected to the street. I want to ask if it's allowed in Belgium to keep the trash bags in the common area or hall?
Well, the neighborhood 2 young couples, insist to forget about the collection date of Fridays. Since there is no collection in the weekends the smell gets really bad. The Landlord doesn't pronounce or worry about disputes between the tenants as well. Any idea?

This is totally forbidden!!
You have to read the ROI (Réglement d'ordre intérieur) of the building.
Check with the website of your commune. If the collection is on Monday, you are required to put your trash bags OUTSIDE on Monday morning.
If you put them there the day before, it is too early and you will get a fine!
When you have applied to get a Residence Permit, the commune normally invites "newcomers" to a welcome party where communal staff explain all the rules residents have to respect.
