Non-EU spouse of EU citizen

Question

Hello Everyone,
I have a question regarding Residence permit, if anyone would like to share experience.
I am Non-EU spouse of EU citizen, living and working in Latvia with temporary residence.
Is there any possible option to move and register in Belgium with existing EU permit.
If someone could share knowledge or advice, that would be much appreciated,
Many thanks
Victor

Yes, I believe you can. You will get an F-card which is for non-eu spouse of EU citizen. Or better just call the city hall of the town you want to move to and ask them that very question.

Yes, you can - but it depends on concrete situation and of different circumstances: if you move to Belgium together, or you move alone!
If you move alone or first from your family, you have to get work permit, than visa, and than temporary residence for 1 year....and only after that you can apply for F-card.
If your spouse got job, than it simplifies the things and you can come with your Latvian residence permit and apply here for residence permit. But be aware in this case you will not be able to leave Belgium until you get your residence permit.
Good luck!
