Can anyone recommend a notary who speaks English and has experience dealing with inheritance following the death of someone in the family (non Belgium residence but with family in Belgium).

At the Palais de Beaux Arts just a couple of weeks ago a "trade fair" on the subject of inheritance was held. My advice would be to call the the Palais to get in touch with the organisers of the event.
