Notice period

I am a "white collar" worker, past my probation period but less than 3 years in my job. My contract states that notice period is according to the regulation mentioned in the law of July 3rd, 1978 regarding employment contracts. Can anyone confirm if this period is 3 months or 45 days. If 45 days is this calender days or working days?
