Old paper metro tickets

Morning all,

Having previously been a Brussels resident I am shortly returning to visit for the first time in 1.5 years.
I have one of the old ten journey paper tickets. Are the orange machines at the metros and on the buses still active or do I have to buy one of the Mobib cards?

The orange machines were all removed in the summer of 2016. so you cannot validate the old ten-journey paper ticket you have any more.

However you can exchange it at any BOOTIK or KIOSK. You can either get a Mobib card and have the journeys transferred to it (but if you are only visiting it maybe is not worth it) or you can exchange it for the new-style contactless tickets which you can validate in the new machines.
