podologue school of podology UCL

Question

My GP recommended the podogogy centre next to (part of?) UCL in WSL. In my case, it concerns an ingrown toenail, the nail requires lifting up, so my GP explained. However on calling the centre, I learnt that the treatment is given by the students, but under the teacher supervision. I feel unfortable about being treated by students : anyone with experience of using this centre ? or suggest podologue (pref in WSL) suitable for this "operation" ? Thanks in advance.

Mike

You may want to consider going to a dermatologist to operate the toenail. Podiatrists are not doctors  in this country and could cause you a lot of unnecessary pain poking around the nail (speaking from experience) without results.
