I am interesting in buying an apartment but I noticed that in the bedroom there is a gap between the parquet and the wooden panel at the bottom of the wall. What would this be caused by? Is it a big problem? The apartment is a 2008 construction. Many thanks

Expansion gap. Lay wood wall to wall with no gaps and it will buckle.
It's normally covered by a thin strip of beading. Quick and cheap fix.
