Procedures with Commune if you want to rent part of your house

We bought a 'maison unifamilial' and we know this means that legally we cannot rent out part of the house without obtaining permission and changing the legal status of the house with the commune.

How do we apply for this permission.

I studied the commune website but I don't see any relevant section or service.

Anyone know the procedure?
