Questions about redundancy

Hello all- if you have any experience or definite know how, please advice:
1 If you havent been paid salary in a couple ofmonths - what recourse/protection is there? It's not that the company is mechant, but just broke. However, still working through this nonpayment period. What are my rights?
2 If one is given notice due to redundancy, and one wishes to leave earlier rather than work for no pay, what is hre legally required notice period for giving counter-notice? It's for a job I have had less than five years.
