Refund for eye laser surgery

Question

Dear all, does anyone know a website with info about the cost of eye laser surgery, and what the refund would be for someone working at a european institution?

PreviouslyAnon

Where in Europe? Costs vary wildly across and within countries, and no website could possibly keep the information accurably up to date. Friends in Italy had LASIK for 2000 EUR per eye, friends in Hungary paid about 300.

As per the cost reimbursement, you should contact your JSIS settlements office and they will be able to advise. You *may* be eligible for direct billing, i.e. the hospital bill is paid directly by the JSIS.

If you work in Brussels, try Focus Eye Clinic in Wemmel, they're used to treat EU-personnel and have a webpage explaining about refunds: http://www.focus-eye-clinic.com/en/refractive-surgery-refund-for-employe...
