Question

I was speaking with a colleague about the huge array of intercultural relationships present in a cosmopolitan town such as this - people pair up between different countries, languages, religions and skin colours. But it seems there are few that break the education/career barrier. People dont date and marry those with less glamorous degrees and jobs, it seems. I am interested to hear your experiences of this, whether you agree. Could it be that Brussels residents are tolerant snobs?

Isabella

Snobs for no reason. Most came here for the money, but forgot their background. An educated person for me is someone who remains humble no matter its financial status as life can suddenly take a funny turn and its status can switch from rich to poor and vice versa in two seconds. Good luck in meeting someone worth your time.
