Renovation of old fireplaces

Question

I don't whether this comes under 'shopping' or 'property' but we are renovating a 1910 house and would like to restore some of the fireplaces so that they can be used (they require paint stripping from marble, possible lining of chimney and replacement of fireplace and surround to make it function/look attractive).

Does anyone please have any personal recommendations for firms that do this work please (must be good quality work and sympathetic to age of house)?

I've made a provisional visit to Delplan on Ch de Wavre and wasn't impressed by their customer service. Have also read poor feedback about them on here. So would particularly welcome recommendations for companies other than them...!

Based Montgomery/Merode area of Bxls but will travel.

Thank you for any advice/recommendations/tips.

Hello,
Hello! We are also trying to renovate a marble fireplace. We found www.crombe.be - who are specialists i this area but for us - their quote was really expensive for what we asked them to do. I therefore wondered if you had had any luck with your fireplace and found any other companies in the meantime.

With thanks!
