Question

Hello,

Am hoping that anyone can help me!

I just rented an apartment and moved in 2 days ago. There are no curtain railings and where I should insert light bulbs there are bare wires hanging from the ceiling. I asked the syndic to sort this out since I am now living in the dark and without any privacy since I cannot hang up my curtains---and to my horror, I was told that I have to sort it out myself and go get a handyman to install light fixtures which I have to pay for as well as buy curtain railings.

What can I do about this? Is it even legal?

Hi,

I think this is legal . For lights it is very easy to fix them . The simplest, you can go to Brico and check out for a long extension wire with a light cap. Then buy a bulb E14 or E27 based on the unit. All you need to to is join the 2 wires from the ceiling to the ones provided in the unit you brought.
