Security breach on Bpost website temporarily makes customer details public

Bpost's website temporarily experienced a security breach on Sunday, Flemish public broadcaster VRT Nieuws revealed.

The information about the recipient of each item posted, the product itself and the code of the package was made visible to anyone who visited the site.

VRT Nieuws carried out a test and managed, with the consent of the recipient, to get their hands on a package thanks to the data found on the Bpost website.

The problem has since been solved, Bpost told VRT.
