Hi,

I have a problem with Skydrive. I have to access a document for work and edit it whilst others can do so as well. Normally I log in to my account and select the 'Skydrive' button. Next I click on the 'shared' button. Now I have access to my shared documents. I select the'open in excel' icon and wait. A window normally opens asking me for my e-mail address and password. While I'm waiting a message is displayed on my screen saying 'file conversion in progress'. After quite some time the whole process falls apart and I end up with a message saying 'the converter failed to save this file' and that's it. My laptop is relatively new and its operating system is Windows 7. In the past I have succeeded in opening this document from some, but not all, work computers.

Can anybody suggest a solution?

What version of XL was it created in, and what version is installed on your laptop?
Can you download it and open it locally?
Do you have an IT department?
