small lift?

We are moving house and want to rent a lift. However, the windows on the street side of our flat are skylights, so we can't use a normal hydraulic lift. I'm wondering if we could rent a small lift that we could bring into our building and out into the back garden to use with the back windows, which are standard size. I've seen lifts that are attached to ladders, maybe something like that would work? Does anyone have any advice on this kind of move or suggestions of where to rent this kind of lift?
