SNCB winter promotion: half-price train fares until 8 January

Belgium’s rail network SNCB has launched a seasonal promotion, offering a 50% reduction on day return tickets between 10 December and 8 January.

The Winter Promo Ticket is designed for travellers wanting to shop, visit family and friends, or simply enjoy a day trip during the Christmas holiday season, reports RTBF.

SNCB aims to attract new passengers and boost train travel. The rail company hopes to increase the number of its users by 30% by 2032, and is counting on strong growth in the leisure sector.

As a reminder, children under 12 always travel free if accompanied by an adult. The promotion applies to standard ticket fares between two stations in Belgium.

The Winter Promo Ticket can be purchased via the SNCB app, on the website https://www.belgiantrain.be/en/, at vending machines and at ticket offices.
