Survey prize Thon hotel.

Question

Anyone else get a message saying they won a prize from the spats survey for Thon hotels? Although had been listed as meal for two in prize info. That's not what they are saying I won. They told me it's a 'romantic' night for two deal. Not at all sure staying on avenue Louise is useful to me. Regardless of how romantic or otherwise it is supposed to be. I'm Just wondering if it's really a prize or a scam by Thon to get people to pay for meals In low season.
Not wanting to sound ungrateful, nice to win anything. Just wondering if it's a real prize or not.

Well I'm awaiting for the info to descend in post but was interested if anyone else got this 'prize' was what was listed what was listed was a meal for two not a night in a hotel.

See it clearly says it as romantic dinner voucher not a romantic night away.
I'm not complaining I've won just wasn't as advertised when I did the survey.

The price listed is "10 romantic dinner vouchers (value €209 each) at the Thon Hotel".

With a value like that I'm guessing that the romantic dinner also includes a night at the hotel. After all, if you don't have to drive home after dinner, or take the metro, or a taxi or whatever, but can directly move to your hotel room, it can't harm your changes for some romance.

If you don't want it just sell if for 50 euros, I'm sure you will find a taker.

I'm not clear if it's transferable I'd have taken a night out for dinner but an evening way gets very tricky when your spouse works away all the time and you have teens who need taxi derive to get to school etc, no they can't go on public it doesn't exist early enough from us to their school because we're in Flemish area and school is in French area in BXL

Ah, then it was most likely just a mistake in the phrasing when the list of prices was compiled. It sounds very much like this package: http://www.thonhotels.com/offers/vacation/romantic-escape-in-brussels/

Even the price is exactly the same (209 euros).

The offer includes:

1 night stay in one of our deluxe rooms
Buffet breakfast for 2
1/2 bottle of Champagne
Bed covered with rose petals
Massage oil
Strawberry or macaroons
Chocolate box
Free access to fitness centre and sauna
Late check out at 4 PM
Free parking

Does not sound too shabby but from your circumstances sounds like it's not too useful a price for you.

Best bet would be to check if it could be transferred to someone else. I'm sure you would find plenty of takers.

The Bulletin

Hi, indeed, the company that administered the survey made a mistake with the word "dinner", it's really an overnight stay. You should have received an email from The Bulletin on 4 September with the correct information.

If you did not receive that email or have further questions, please feel free to contact us using this form: http://www.xpats.com/contact

Alternatively, you could contact the hotel and try to alter your prize to a dinner for two instead.

Hi no I got nothing from the bulletin at all, that's why I asked this question. All I got was a message from thin saying I'd won but that the lady was on holiday. When she came back she sent me that link. I'm awaiting the prize information from them to read the terms.
