Why does Belgium have the highest tax burden on employees in the world? A MEAN rate of 57%!?
From the archives
Where do you get your figures from? The last time I filled in a tax return the HIGHEST rate was 50% and that on the portion of taxable salary over around €2,600/month. More than 50% of Belgian employees do not earn enough to reach this level on any part of their salary. The tax burden is high here but your question is based on fantasy.
