Tax Declaration

Question

Hello, I am looking for the first time at the tax declaration documents and am confused (my French is quite poor)
In the "Document Preparatoire" there are 2 columns of codes.
What is the difference?
For example, at page 4, for "Remunerations Ordinaires", there are 2 codes: 1250-11 e 2250-78
Which is the right code for an Employee?
Thanks in advance for your help,

Can be confusing! I take usually take all the documents to the tax office and try to make an appointment to discuss and go through the tax forms. Often the information has two or three different meanings in French or Dutch.
I tell them that I have tried to do this, but am confused, so can you please help me? Tax office officials usually don't have any time and tell me to leave all my documents with them to process. If they make an error it is their fault, not yours.

There are 2 colums: one for each partner in the marriage (husband 1250, wife 2250 - sexists obviously). If you are unmarried, just columnnon the left is for you.
There should be a brochure explaining everythng number by number.
Once you filled it in. A lot will be filled in automatically next year (when you fill in the taxon-web form, not the paper version).
There is also an emty draft version that you can fill in: then it will be easier to get advice.
Good luck!

On the front page of my tax declaration on the right below the fold are printed the details of my local tax office with opening hours.
I go there with all my accumulated paperwork, sit in the queue and they complete the form for me. Some years I'm in an out in 10 minutes; sometimes it's almost an hour.

if you are not sure after these explanations you could always go to those temporary offices open in every commune in Brussels that help you to fill the declaration for free.

Bring all the documents (salaries, mortgages, bills deductible), ID card (and PIN) and the brown envelope you received by mail. Usually there are many people using the service so expect some queues or go very early (way before opening times...)
