Travelling with children to Barcelona

Question

Hello,
My wife and I are considering having a short break in Spain at the beginning of September. We will be travelling with our two-year-old son. It seems that we can still find tickets to Barcelona at prices that are not outrageously high. I would like to ask if you can suggest a beach resort close to Barcelona where we can have a 3 - 4 day break with a child, and enjoy ourselves without much hassle.
Any advice will be appreciated. TIA

Sitges is probably the most popular resort close to Barcelona. You can get the train between the two. If you hired a car then I could also recommend Cadaques which is further up the coast.

But Barcelona also has quite nice beaches if you dont want to travel much.
