UK collection of old Belgian parking ticket

Good morning.
I last week received in the post (from a UK collection agency) a first request for payment for a Brussels area parking ticket incurred in July 2011, i.e. about 14 months ago. Can anyone with legal or practical experience say if there is a kind of statute of limitations on parking tickets incurred in Belgium?

just pay it if you owe it. I am constantly amazed at how many postings there are on this site by what I assume are grown men and women, who are trying to get out of their responsibilities by ignoring something in the hopes it will go away. Grow up and take responsibility for your actions! Otherwise the rest of us pay--one way or another!
