Umweltplakette for cars traveling in Germany

Question

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get this sticker for driving in Germany? I live in Belgium and plan to drive my car to that country but recent laws have passed requiring all cars to have this Umweltplakette before entering Germany. I have no idea where I can pick up this sticker, is it possible that I can buy it once I arrive in Germany in a gas station or somewhere authorized in issuing these?
Has anyone else already got one of these? and if so, where did you buy one? Thanks in advance for any information anyone can give me.

FYI, you only need the badge to enter an 'environmental zone', ie most urban centers. It is not obligatory to have the badge just to enter the country.

you can get one in Brussels from either Touring Secours or DEKRA.

Thank you all for the answers, I will go to Brussels and get this sticker at Touring Secours in person because they will want to see my registration and other info before determining which one I can buy.
I think it would be safer to do it in person, I rather not send copies of my car inspection and other documents by mail and this would be faster.
I plan on staying in a couple of cities and found out that if I don't have this sticker displayed on the windshied I can get a fine of 40€!
Again, thanks for the quick replies.

It is good you're checking the issue before going. Above advice is good, but you can also get the sticker at any car garage in Germany.

Note that while they can control this sticker and fine you, press reports indicate it is rarely done, and personnally I have never ever experienced a control of it.
