Unsolicited email

Question

Am I the only one in recent weeks/months receiving so much junk mail?My server puts it straight to Junk but I still have to clear out between 30 and 40 each day. The majority are about Bitcoin and appear to be telling me I have a stash to claim in my accounts.
I have tried to unsubscribe to no avail.
Any suggestions please ?

Unsubscribing simply tells the sender that they are sending to a valid and active email address.

I've been getting junkmail for decades. Ignore it.

It’s a huge problem. But you only need to look daily in your spam box for stuff put there which shouldn’t be.
If the problem is mainly bitcoin mails, create a ‘rule’ so that if bitcoin appears in the title or body of the mail, it immediately sends it to trash.

It might be worth opening a new email address that you let only your friends and family know about. And switch your important contacts like banks, energy, internet supplier etc to your new prime address.
I also have an old telenet email address that I use if I need to give an email address on a website so all the unimportant newsletters, mailings etc go there.

Thank you all. I shall certainly look at the website recommended by Oppressed in Oppem.
Anything which stops it would help.

You could just ignore it. Its very rare that a junk mail that has been automatically marked wrong.

I also never care about clearing them. I’m using GMail. Normally I have a personal email that never use on registration on any site and many other fake mails to do that jobs.
