Urgent legal advice for rental contract needed

Hello,
Who knows about Belgian law, and could provide a legal advice in French? Please let me know, if you understand renting in Brussels. I rented a room - short term contract in English, and the person left leaving broken things and dirty but wanted all the guarantee back. It is urgent. Thank you !

You didn't have a legal contract - it has to be in French, Dutch or German. A notaire will give you free advice, they only charge if written documents are required.
