Valuation of furniture and bric a brac
I have inherited some old furniture and bric a brac (ornaments, old kitchenware, gadgets, sort of stuff you might see in an antiques shop). No idea if there is anything of value or if its of little or no value.
Is there a service that is trustworthy which will visit the house and value the stuff before I get rid of it?

In your situation I should be doing my own research rather than employing an independent who may or may not be trustworthy and, even if they are, may not initially recognise the one valuable item among a load of worthless stuff.
Watch 'Antiques Roadshow' on the BBC and see how often people report having had something valued at £50.00 only to be told that it is actually worth over a thousand.
Try looking on sites like eBay to get a basic idea of what you have got and look round any local antique shops.
