Visa for newborn
Hi, currently I'm in living in brussels n have resident permit till end of October. I'm pregnant now n would like to go to india for delivery. I will be renewing my RP before leaving brussels. Do my hubby needs to stay in the same apartment?? How long will it take to get visa for my newborn?? N also its a 1 bedroom app n this is our 2nd child do we need to have a 2 bedroom app to apply visa??
My advice would be to deliver the baby in Belgium and then go to India. That way the baby will have the necessary travel document to come back to Belgium. Make sure that you have his photo ID from the commune before leaving and of course the child's Indian passport.
A friend of mine had to wait 4 month for the visa. He had to produce a lot of documents, baby proof his house and have interviews before his kid was given the visa.
Belgium has fantastic hospital care for maternity, of course it does cost a little. Maybe ring your embassy for advice.
