Wage Watchers: How much does a legal clerk earn?

What do you do for work and how much do you earn?
I work as a legal administrative clerk with H Essers and earn €1500 per month net. My tasks comprise mainly project management, case management and administration.

Do you like your job?
I love it - the colleagues, the content… I really enjoy going to work every day.

How many hours do you work and what do you think of your salary?
I work 40 hours per week. It’s a good starting salary for a beginner, so I can’t complain. Of course, eventually I’d like to earn more.

Do you save money?
I try to side some money aside for later. Of course there are some fixed costs that I have to take into account, but I manage to save a little something every month.

What’s your biggest cost?
Right now, that’s my rent, which takes quite a big bite out of our budget.

What do you hate to spend money on?
Useless trips and entertainment. I’m a real homebody. I find lots of excursions or going out partying every week wasted money.

What do you like to spend money on?
On healthy food. I place a lot of important on healthy eating and healthy living, so I easily give more money to that.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
I’m afraid my answer maybe isn’t quite the most exciting, but I’d save a lot of it and invest in real estate.
