Walibi looks to hire 600 staff for summer season

09:45 17/01/2022

Walibi theme park on the outskirts of Brussels has begun a major recruitment campaign to find 600 employees for the summer season.

Job profiles range from lifeguards and operators of fairground rides to ticket office staff, caterers and technicians.

Management at the popular attraction in Wavre, Walloon Brabant, are looking to recruit a mix of full-time employees, seasonal temps and student jobs.

The deadline to apply is the end of February and most of the jobs have a 2 April start date.

Applicants are asked to upload a short video presentation on their smartphone or webcam. Selected candidates will then be invited to a digital "job day" ahead of an in-person recruitment session at the park itself.

"We attach particular importance during our recruitment process to people who are smiling, welcoming, caring and respectful of the procedures and regulations related to the function," Walibi human resources manager Antoine Stasse said.

"Experience in tourism or in another amusement park is not a prerequisite because all seasonal workers will benefit from free certified training in the hospitality, tourism and leisure professions."
