What do pedicures consist of in Brussels, and what is a medical pedicure?
What do pedicures consist of in Brussels? I am looking for the type of pedicure that they do in the USA...consists of nail polish removal, foot soak, cutting/filing, scrubbing/exfoliating, moisturization, and nail polish application.
I spoke with a few people here who said that this is not how pedicures are done in most places in Brussels. Can someone provide some detail? Wanted to be sure before walking into Wax Zone, etc.
Also, what is a medical pedicure and are they worth it?
Thanks!
am medical pedicure is more like a pedicure you get in the US--nail clipping, dead skin removal, etc. I find regular pedicures in Brussels not a pleasant experience. You are often lying down, no foot soaking, and you have to ask for polish--its extra.
Medical pedicure is prescribed by a doctor. Applies to foot problems due to a diabetes, a back problem, whatever. Requires special training and a certificate of the podologist.
I pay 22 Euro to mine for a medical pedicure.
Quality and experience vary widely, so you better check around.
No one gave a recommendation! I am also interested in having recommendations for a decent pedicure. Not happy with the current one to whom I have to pay 30 euros for about 20 minutes. Are there any out there that do a competent job? In and around Brussels. Willing to travel. Thank you.
I can recommend Karen Sammon (http://karensammon.be/). She is also my preferred choice for facials. She works in the Schuman area.
Hi, I'm a certified Massage&Beauty Therapist and if you wish to have a detail pedicure feel free to contact me, I'm opening a place near Schuman soon! Thanks, emilijaborchers@aol.com
