wooden toy

Question

Are there any hobby carpenters out there who would be able to make a wooden farm for my little Grandsons Christmas or Birthday, he is 2 years 5 months at the moment. Everything seems to be plastic or waaaaay above my very limited budget. I am not looking for anything fancy or big, just solid and playable with.

Mimi

A hand made wooden toy farm would probably cost an arm, a leg, and various other parts.

There are some very reasonably priced wooden animals on Amazon Uk. If the link doesn't work, just type in "wooden farm animals".

Alternative is to make salt dough and make one your self, it's none toxic and you bake it in the oven I'm sure you'd fine a recipe on line, or you could try knitting one there are pattern out there.

Thanks for the replies, don't think my Arthritis would cope with the knitting now, there used to be a great shop near Merode which is where I bought one for my first Grandson but it is now a snack. Never thought of Ikea, I will have a look online, then try and persuade a friend to drive me there if they have them. I did salt dough years ago for a fort and was vacumming up the bits for years !!!!!!!!
