Belgian royal couple meet with victims and aid workers

Belgium's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde today paid a visit to the University Hospital Gasthuisberg in Leuven. The royal couple met with victims of Tuesday's terrorist attacks in Brussels Airport and the Brussels metro station Maelbeek. During the visit, the couple also met with members of the emergency services and nursing staff.

The royal couple yesterday visited the Erasmus Hospital in Anderlecht, Brussels National Airport, the Military hospital in Neder-over-Heembeek and Maelbeek metro station.

This afternoon, the King and Queen are scheduled to participate in the national tribute ceremony which takes place at the federal parliament in Brussels.
