Bruges named Belgium's best city trip destination

Bruges was, for the third year in a row, selected as the best destination in Belgium for a city trip, according to the Dutch web blog Zoover. The city in West Flanders won the annual Zoover Award competition with a score of 8.8, slightly higher than last year, when Bruges received a score of 8.6. The award is based on more than 200,000 traveller reviews of the city's culture, nightlife, surroundings, overall atmosphere and hotel accommodations.

Ghent came in second place in the list, with an average rating of 8.6. The East Flemish city is popular for its many terraces, restaurants and shopping streets. Leuven, Antwerp and Brussels complete the top five.
